She caught me speechless
The words fled useless
The moonshine and water
Her mothers daughter said she didn’t love me
But thats alright, cause its not about me

I won’t beat myself up
She called me then hung up
I shouldn’t have let it ring
Small town living
She swears soon she’s leaving
I’ve said it myself
Over and over
But its alright, she finally left that night

I finally followed and I found her
In an ocean from a puddle of a town
Nearly drown, but no you couldn’t keep her down
The city it saved her, at least until it claimed her
She Misplaced her life in a strange arrangement of days
Through the Silver city haze
To try and finally change…

Finally painless
She’ll make it eventually
Down to the sea
And the mess we made
It’s history
And the dirt ill be, await patiently
The dirt we’ll be, will be
